What is your market share?

What is your market potential?

According to a statistic given during our New Path to Profit class the residential market potential for Michigan (less Detroit) is $295 per capita. 

We can find our market potential by multiply that 295 number by the population we serve. 

For example, say you serve only Muskegon County. Muskegon County had a population of 170,182 in 2012.  That means your market potential would be 50,203,690 anually. 

Interesting, huh?

Want to figure your market share?  Take your total sales divided by your market potential. 

2 million in sales means you have 4% market share.
